- Crowd Funding -
Introduction
Crowd-funding is inspired by crowdsourcing, it describes the collective cooperation, attention and trust by people who network and pool their money and other resources together, usually via the Internet, to support efforts initiated by other people or organisations. Borrowing money from friends is a kind of peer-to-peer lending. Crowd funding is different. In other words, Crowd-funding is the idea which is to raise the money by many small amounts from a large audience rather than several sophisticated investors. Crowd-funding exists for different kinds of purposes, from disaster relief to citizen journalism to artists seeking support from fans, to political campaigns, to funding a startup company or small business or creating free software.
